2011 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show Photos (SLIDESHOW)

The 135th annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show kicked off on Valentine’s Day 2011, in New York City’s Madison Square Garden. Nearly 2,600 dogs from nearly 180 breeds filled the arena over two nights, with one single doggie (the Scottish deerhound) eventually being chosen Best in Show.

The Westminster Dog Show was the first-ever such show in America, starting way back when your great-great-grandfather was in his diapers, or something like that. It is the nation’s 2nd longest running sporting event, right after the Kentucky Derby.
